I'd rather have a church-- Listen, just a moment. I would rather have a church that knows nothing about any spiritual gift, and just be so in love with each other and with Christ, I'd rather have that than every spiritual gift operating in the church. Now, that might sound hard in a Pentecostal group, but I would rather have it. Where there is gifts, they'll fail. Where there is gifts, they'll bring confusion. Where there is gifts, they can be questioned. But where there is love, it is perfect. That's right. And if you had perfect love you'd have perfect gifts. That's right. So work first with love. That brings fellowship, and fellowship brings gifts.

God have mercy upon us. If we are the sons and daughters of God, yet we're an alien in this life-- God's looking for character from men and women who can conduct themselves as sons and daughters of the King. God have mercy on us, that we will do it.
That's what I'm after friends: character. That's what God's pulling for, character for that Bride that will be taken out. And as sons and daughters of God, let's act like it; be sons and daughters. God help us.

Now, what if I'd say, "Lady, are you sick?"

She'd say, "Yes, Mr. Branham, I am sick."

"Glory to God. Hallelujah!" Shake her, say, "Glory to God. Receive it. Hallelujah. Go on. You're healed." That could be all right. Sure, that'd be fine. She'd believe it, she'd get well. Certainly.

Just like what Charlie Fuller said down here one time, Brother Fuller. He said, "I believe in these gifts, and I believe in these great gifts of healing too." But said, "They're gifts of healing, but God's going to make them men answer at the judgment bar for commercializing it." And I believe so too. He's right there. Yes, sir. Don't commercialize God. He can't be commercialized. But God will make you pay for what you're doing, the way you use it.

See, we don’t use the gift of God for commercial. No, no. He could tell me where it was at, but I don’t have any need of it. I wouldn’t even have faith enough to ask Him. See? If I had a need of it, I believe if I’d ask Him, He’d tell me. But first (You see?), your motives and objectives has to be right. You have to have reasons for this. God don’t give you those things just because you ask. And you cannot ask in faith unless there’s a real objective to that, to be in the will of God. See? If you want to be well, what do you want to be well for? See? If you want to be healed, what’s the reason you want to be healed? What are you telling God? What do you want to do with you life when you get healed? See? There’s got to be... You’ve got to have a motive and objective, and they have to be right according to the will of God. And then’s when the faith is revealed to you, and God by His sovereign grace places that faith in there, then it’s over. See? Now. See?

And the first thing, your achievement is only by your motive and your objective. Your motive has got to be right and your objective has got to be right. If your objective is right, and your motive is wrong, then it won’t happen. You’ve got to have the right objective and you’ve got to have the right motive. And then take it upon the leading of the Holy Spirit in your heart and stay with it. God will bring it to pass.

But you know, if you’re determined to seek God, God will make a way for you, and there’s no fear at all about nothing. You just have one achievement, one thought, one motive, one objective, and that’s get to God. And if God spoke to you, you’ll go. I don’t care what takes place. God will make a way for you to do it, if you’re really anchored and know what you’re speaking of. And she did.

Now, when Jesus said, “If you ask the Father anything in My name, I’ll do it,” now that’s just right straight down off of the shoulder. “I will do it.” And He was-- Now, it’s on conditions: if you’ll believe when you ask.

Now, in Mark 11:22 we find out that Jesus said, “If you say to this mountain, ‘Be thou plucked up and cast into the sea,’ and don’t doubt, but believe that what you have said will come to pass; you can have what you’ve said,” See?

Now, the thing-- You just couldn’t get out here and say, “Mountain, move down.” You’ve got to have a motive and objective to that. You see? And that-- You’ve got to find out first if it’s the will of God, and then your motive and objective to the will of God, and then, speak to it, and stand there; it’ll come down (Yes, you see?), if you get the conditions right. But you’ve got to have the conditions right.

Now, I’ve come to Christ when I was about the age of one of these boys here, I guess. I was about twenty years old. And I served Him all this time, and I’m fifty-two, will be fifty-three my birthday.

And I can sincerely say that I have never asked Christ sincerely for anything, that is it’s--now, that really sincerely asked Him, anything that was for right, but what He gave it to me or told me why He couldn’t do it. And then later on, I found out it was a good thing I didn’t get it. See?

If you can believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, not only for salvation for yourself, for your loved ones, for the healing of the child, or for a mother, or for anything that you desire that’s right-- And you know if you desired something that wasn’t right, you wouldn’t have faith enough to ask God in the first place; ‘cause you know it ain’t right. See?

If you’re sincere and know that it’s right, then you can ask God with a clean heart, knowing it’s no selfish motive, and your objective and motive is exactly right, then ask God. And like a child, believe you get it and you get it. I know that.

Now, I want to make this statement. I want to say that I believe that both sides are wrong as long as they argue one with the other, because their motives is wrong. And as long as your motives is wrong, no matter what your objective is; but your motive to that objective is wrong, then it’ll never work. That’s right.
