It's your character; that's what God's a looking at
You might have the name of church, might have the name of Branham Tabernacle, or Methodist, or whatever church you go. That isn't it, friends.
See, it's something different; it's your character; that's what God's a looking at. You might be Methodist; you might be Baptist; you might be Presbyterian. It's not that.
It's character that God looks at, not just earthly character, but Holy Spirit character.

Too many things ahead of the Lord
See, we got too many things ahead of the Lord. You can't have the prayer meeting because Mr. Godfrey's on tonight. You can't have the prayer meeting because "We Love Sucy" is on tonight, or some kind of a foolish nonsense like that, that takes up the time. And we don't have time to hear the voice of the Lord.
And those who do claim to be Christians, just kneel down of the little prayer like this, kinda homemade. "Lord bless me, and my family, and take care of us. Good night." And the next morning rise and say, "Just guide us through the day. Good day."-- We should wait on the Lord.
You see, we do all the talking. We don't give Him a chance to talk back to us. That if we would pray and pray until our soul comes into the Presence of God, and then just relax and listen to His voice.

Don't never be afraid to put any Divine promise of God to action
Don't never be afraid to put any Divine promise of God to action. And remember, don't never forget this quotation:
"That the right mental attitude towards any Divine promise in this Bible will bring it to pass."
Just remember that. The right mental attitude toward any Divine promise that's written in this Bible will bring it to pass. So now, just keep that on your mind.
If God made a promise, and you'll take the right attitude towards that promise, God will fulfill everything that He's promised. I know that to be true. And I've seen sarcomas cancer healed with that, because people believe that it was the Truth.

He's depending on you to project His love to the sinner
And you people here tonight, God is-- He's depending on you to project His love to the sinner. There's something about a man or a woman, you are a miniature creator.
Have you ever seen people that you just love to be around? It's the atmosphere they create around them. Others nice people that you just can't stand to be around them. They create that by the way they live and the way they think. It's a little atmosphere you live in.

Our soul rests solemnly upon His Word
Now, He said, "I come from God and I go to God. Yet a little while and the world sees Me no more." Then He said that we would see Him. Now, if we were looking for Him, what type of person would we look for?
Oh, I just love to take the Word. I believe the Word. That's the Truth always. God's Word is the Truth. I believe that every promise of God is absolutely the Truth--
The right mental attitude toward any Divine promise of God, will bring it to pass (That's right.) if you can look at the Word right.
Now, there's many things that maybe I could not bring to pass with my faith. But I would never stand in the way of somebody else who had the faith to bring it to pass. If I couldn't go where--drop the walls of Jericho like Joshua did, or take a little afternoon walk like Enoch did and go home with him, I would never stand in somebody's way who could do that. But I'm thankful to have faith to believe that it's true. God said so. That makes it true. It's God's eternal Word.
And our soul rests solemnly upon His Word. And faith cannot be based anywhere else. All theology and manmade isms are sinking sands. And faith cannot find its resting place upon the shifting sands of man's theology. It's got to find it's solemn resting place on the immovable rock of Almighty God's Word. There's where it anchors, "God said so." That settles it. That's forever the truth.

Create an atmosphere
Now, you've got to create an atmosphere, and your faith will do it. They were all in the upper room with one accord, when suddenly there came from heaven as a sound of a rushing mighty wind; the atmosphere was right. It takes a atmosphere to do anything.
You know, the regular procedure to hatch chickens is to put them under the hen. But get the egg in the right atmosphere, it'll hatch anyhow.
Listen, brother, if a man loves God, and the right kind of an atmosphere he could get into, it'll produce a new born babe just as certain as I am here. It's the atmosphere that counts.
Let this little handful of people setting here tonight, get in the perfect atmosphere, watch what takes place. There will not be a feeble among one in our midst. The cripples will walk; the blind will see; the deaf will hear; the dumb will speak without prayer or anything. It's the atmosphere.
That's how twenty-five thousand was healed at one prayer in Africa. When they seen the Lord do something, it created a atmosphere, and they stepped into it. That's the pool when the waters in running right.

Man's measured by character
Man's measured by character. There never was a man like Christ Jesus, never was a character like that. Man's measured by character. And I said, "Man's not measured by his big arms, but by the bags of the knees in his pants, whether he's been praying or not." That's right.

You are a creator yourself, a miniature creator
Let me give you a little speck of light just in a minute now. Just a few minutes now 'fore we start the prayer line. You are a creator yourself, a miniature creator. Listen. Did you ever see people that was nice people, though you just couldn't be around them hardly, something about them you just couldn't stand? Did you ever see people that you just love to be around? Did you ever see them kind of people? That's the atmosphere that they create themself.
And let me tell you today, my dear friends, the greatest thing there is this side of heaven is l-o-v-e, Divine love. God is Love.
You read in the book when a maniac run out to kill me on the platform that night. I didn't hate the man; I loved him, sure, felt sorry for him. That's what slew him on the platform. That's what slew those witch-doctors standing there that day...human beings that God died for, standing there trying to throw spells on me, witches like that. Standing there before Him, and you see them fall to the ground, throw their head down like this, and give their hearts to Christ.
It was love that did it. Love is the mightest force there is. Even phileo love will make a mother jump through a fire to grab her burning baby. She won't think of herself.

Create the atmosphere
See, that's the way it is. You just keep believing, create the atmosphere. Let-- Never let doubt come around you. Believe all the time. Don't accompany any of that doubt at all. No, sir. No matter what the circumstances is, push away doubt. Walk right on through it. Just refuse it. Yes, sir. Don't give no grounds at all.

Don't expect to know God by education or theology
So don't expect to know God by education or theology; you know God by being borned again, new birth. The Holy Spirit wrote the Word of God. And He so entangled it in there; He said, "I've hid it from the eyes of the wise and prudent and will reveal it to babes such as will learn." So if you want to know anything, get to be a baby. Don't be too smart.
The way up is down. "He that humbles himself shall be exalted. He that exalts himself shall be brought abase." And I think of writing the Scripture, how the Holy Spirit hid those mysteries in there. And all the Bible schools and seminaries will never be able to pull it out. God knows it alone and will reveal it to who He will. Is that right?
